Place a soft measuring tape across your forehead about 1/2 inch above your eyebrows. Take the tape measure around your head, making sure to run parallel to the floor. Bring the tape measure back around to your forehead. You should be measuring at what appears to be the widest part of your head. Try to make sure the tape measure it always smooth against your head as you take it around.

Don't have a soft tape measure?

Try using a string, the same way as indicated above and then lay it onto a ruler or retractable tape measure.

While you can absolutely do this on your own, measuring your head is much easier if you ask someone to help!

Wearing a wig under your hat or headpiece? Take your head measurement on top of the wig you will be wearing. If you're not sure what wig it will be, take the measurement in wig prep and let me know you will have a wig on top of that.
